Off To a Good Start
This morning, my Daddy and Mommy drove me to Alabama to meet a nice lady. She said I was going to be evaluated as a therapy dog. I'm not sure what that is yet, but I'm excited to find out!
After giving me some pets, which I always love, she had Daddy and Mommy walk me around. I guess she wanted to see how well behaved I was on a leash. Well, I was on my best behavior. I love going for walks. I even let the tiny humans walk me on the leash!
The nice lady said I was very good. Then we drove to a place where a lot of people lived. These people were older than my Mommy and Daddy. Some of them were in wheelchairs and others had things they held onto with wheels on them to help them walk. The people were so nice! I got lots of attention and pets! If this is what being a therapy dog is, I think I'm going to love it!
Daddy said there are two more times we have to come visit the nice lady to do something called "evaluations". There are three of these evaluations we have to do on three different days. The lady needs to make sure I'm not going to hurt or scare any of the nice people in the places we're going to visit. When the evaluations are complete, I'll be a certified therapy dog! I'll even have a special tag to wear on my collar.
